Past Events
Zikora Foundation’s activities target rural communities in Nigeria. We conduct community outreaches where members of communities benefit from FREE medical and health services and equipment, clothing and other household items, as well as awareness seminars and skills acquisition programs. Here are a few of our past events:
2020
DONATION TO orphanages, ABA, ABIA STATE, NIGERIA. november 2020
Even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to destabilize personal and national financial situation, the Foundation visited two Motherless babies home- Ngwa road Motherless Babies Home and Peace Sisters in Aba to donate some items that will assist the facility on 04 November 2020. This is to support the fulfillment of the SDG 3 indicator 4, promotion of mental health and well-being by contributing to ensure healthy environments (safe spaces) for children are adequately equipped. Zikora Foundation donated to the Ngwa Road Motherless Babies Home:

On 08 August 2020, Zikora Foundation distributed about 350 blankets to elderly in Okpatu village, Enugu State.

Zikora Foundation in collaboration with Medical directors of private hospitals in Bauchi State operating under the aegis of the Guild of Medical Directors of Private Hospitals of Nigeria donated blankets to Internally Displaced Persons taking refuge in the state to shield them from the harsh weather occasioned by the harmattan. 2019
elu community, ohafia, abia state, nigeria. 28 december 2019
A Community Outreach was held on the 28th of December 2019 at Elu, Ohafia in Abia State, Nigeria. The outreach featured a health talk, medical and eye consultations and examinations, distribution of prescription medicines and eye glasses, as well as donated items (clothes, shoes, blankets, etc.). Over 300 members of the Elu community benefited from this outreach.
Our Team: 3 General Practitioners, 1 Fetal specialist doctor, 2 optometrists, 3 nurses and 11 volunteers.
asa umunka community, abia state, nigeria. 07 -08 january 2019
A Community Outreach on the 7th and 8th of January 2019 at the Asa Umunka Community of Ugwunagbo L.G.A, Abia State, Nigeria.
Day 1 featured a series of Seminars and health discussions; medical screening and giving away of donated items (clothes, shoes, toys, etc.)
Day 2 featured free medical consultations and dispensing prescribed medications and glasses.
Our Team: 3 pediatricians, 3 medical general practitioners, 1 fetal specialist doctor, 4 optometrists, 2 lab technicians, 11 nurses and 10 volunteers.
Over 400 members of the community benefited from this outreach.
eziama community, aba north, abia state, nigeria. 07 august 2019.
Knowing that maintaining good Eye health is crucial to the body, Zikora Foundation coordinated a community outreach to provide medical services specifically for the eyes. The Eziama community in Aba North LGA benefited from FREE medical consultations, eye check ups and dispensing of prescribed medication and glasses. Our Team of Optometrists and nurses where in the community to assist in the outreach.
celebrating women’s day, march 2019
In the month of March - Women’s History Month - Zikora Foundation celebrated women by featuring 9 Phenomenal Career Women, who have been inspiring younger girls to reach for the stars, become better versions of themselves and push for a gender balanced world. The theme for 2019 is “Balance for Better”.

In our commitment to improved healthcare, Zikora Foundation supported the health sector in Abia State, through the donation of medical equipment and medicines to the Government of Abia State. Various primary health centers and government hospitals received the equipment, including in Abia North, South and Central Senatorial zones. About 18 Primary Health Centres and hospitals benefited from this donation. Read more here
